Creating A Channel on YouTube

To set up a Channel First you need a Gmail Account. After setting Gmail account, you need to use the same email Id and Password to log in to YouTube.

After you created a channel in YouTube, you need to upload a video. It is good practice to upload Logo and if you don’t have one than use Fiverr service or create your own.

Choosing a Niche or Topic

Once you have created your channel, chose a Niche or Topic you want to publish in your channel. Even if you don’t have any topic in your mind than post any video you think you feel to share. Make sure you read YouTube T&C and Policies before posting a Video.

Uploading First Video

Once your Video is posted, you need to keep it consistent on weekly basis or monthly basis. High Quality at this stage doesn’t matter much but genuine footages and good content can monetize channel faster.

Never Give up and Improve Skills

Do not be stressed out at any stage and do not compare with anyone, just focus and watch videos in YouTube creators channel. There are many videos made by people also so don’t get confused. Make a note of things you want to implement in your action plan.

Some people have monetized in one month, some took years. It all depends upon your videos, topics and many other factors like views, engagement, subscribers, watch time, timings etc.

YouTube Criteria

Till now YouTube main criteria is 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours in last 12 months. But there are other factors also like copyright claims, copyright strikes in your videos and anything against there policies.

Many people make few videos and don’t see results so give up very early or in few months. Remember that climbing mount everest is not easy so as earning passive income. This platform is huge and has given equal opportunities to everyone to come forward and show there skills, talents, ideas. You don’t have to be the best in the world. To me this platform can reward and at the same time give you happiness, while you are carrying on your life with your family.

Posting Videos on YouTube

Posting video regularly is always the best practice.

Although your subscribers and watch hours grow naturally but you can always share your videos with your Friends, Family or people who like those type of content. You can share on other social media platforms but again depends upon the platform if the allow.

Description : Description is below the video. Make sure you type the description because it appears in search results if it is relevant to video. Watch this video to get idea

Hash Tags: Every video can  attract the audience. Hash Tags are very important also. This feature is available below the videos. Make sure every hash tags for example, #home and than press comma

Music : Music is provided copyright free by many sites and YouTube audio library also provide but make sure to select (No Attribution Required) or if you are talented enough than use your own music. Many videos can be posted without music and still monetized so it all depends upon authenticity and Topic.

Thumbnail: It is good practice to add a thumbnail. Although YouTube create automatically but it might not be as good as it should be, so create a thumbnail. You can use Fiverr for that or use some apps. Thumbnails basically create impressions which eventually create views and watch hours.
